Guidelines for Music Donations
PLEASE NOTE: At the present time, we are NOT accepting donations of printed music. This proviso will last until we move into our new facilities, which will be sometime in the spring or early summer of 2017.
When considering making a future music donation, please remember: We do NOT
accept donations of records, CDs, concert band music, photocopies of music, photographs, or music that is torn, tattered, incomplete or moldy.
Furthermore, because of space limitations, we not longer accept the following kinds of music: hymnals, music encyclopedias, books, incomplete parts for chamber ensembles, and collections such as The International Library of Music or The Scribner Radio Music Library. If you have concert band music you wish to donate, we suggest that you contact the Chatfield Brass Band & Music Lending Library in Chatfield, Minnesota at 507-867-3275.
If you have a unique collection that is in excellent condition and that you think might be of interest,
please contact us via phone (207-374-5454, M-F, 10am-4pm) or email (firstname.lastname@example.org) BEFORE shipping any material to us.
It can be time consuming for our staff and volunteers to sort, restore,
catalog and file music in order to give it new life as part of our
collection. For this reason, we ask all donors to contribute financially in order to help underwrite our expenses.
All financial donations are tax deductible. However, the Bagaduce Music Lending Library cannot legally assign value for any music
donation we receive. To establish the value of your collection, please
contact an independent appraiser BEFORE donating music to us. Thank you!
