2019 Blue Hill Pops Concert

The 29th annual Blue Hill Pops Concert, sponsored by Bagaduce Music, will be held on Wednesday, July 3 at 7 pm in the George Stevens Academy gymnasium on Union Street in Blue Hill.
A summer-season tradition on the Blue Hill Peninsula since 1990, this year's concert, "A Downeast Sampler", will feature the Maine humorist Tim Sample as Master of Ceremonies.  Tim has brought his original Maine storytelling to a wide national audience, and he will regale us with his wry observations of life in this great state.
Other program highlights will include the renowned Baltimore jazz band Tongue in Cheek, who will play jazz and swing standards, and the local women's a cappella group Ellacappella, who will harmonize with their appealing arrangements.  The Blue Moose Contra Dance Band will entertain audience members as they arrive, and the winner of Bagaduce Music's 23rd annual Young Composers Competition will also perform.  As in past years, Blue Hill Pops will conclude with an audience singalong of patriotic songs.
Prior to the concert there will be a reprise of last year's Pre-Pops Dinner and Auction, featuring a delicious BBQ prepared by Bianco Provisions and followed by a lively Downeast auction of rare and enticing opportunities and experiences.  The George Stevens Academy award-winning jazz combo "Jam Bake" will welcome diners.
Table seats, reserved chairs and bleacher seats for the 2019 Blue Hill Pops Concert are available in a wide range of prices, beginning at $10.  The Pre-Pops Dinner tickets are $60 per person.  For tickets or further information, please call Bagaduce Music at 207-374-5454.
